My therapy experience with Simon came at a really difficult time in my life. I was struggling with anxiety and depression to the point where it was seriously affecting both my personal life and my work. I reached out to the company I was working for at the time and they referred me to Simon to have weekly sessions of therapy where I could talk through my thoughts and issues in a safe space and begin to open my mind to other perspectives on how I could begin my self-healing journey.
I found Simon to have an immediately friendly and calm demeanour which from our first session made it easier for me to open up. So much so that I found myself becoming outwardly emotional during that first session. I was treated with a huge amount of empathy and understanding and came out of that first session feeling a sense of relief.
I knew I was making the right choice in getting professional help and Simon immediately seemed like someone who was going to help me. I continued with further sessions after that and with Simon, I would explore my feelings and concerns through relaxed conversations, and this helped me to begin to understand why I was experiencing those feelings.
I was given useful advice on how to treat certain feelings when they would occur and most notably Simon talked me through the importance of mindfulness, which is something I hadn’t practiced before. Sometimes we would practice mindfulness together in the sessions, and he also encouraged me to do it in my own time and in moments when I felt anxious. It is an exercise I have continued with and has helped me in so many ways to the point where I now feel in control of my emotions.
My sessions with Simon gave me insight into the importance of self-care and reminded myself that everybody has their own hurdles in life. I can confidently say that the things I learned during my time with Simon have enabled me to pursue my goals and enjoy my life more than I ever could have before. I now have an abundance of self-confidence thanks to the methods of self-care and reflection given to me in what was an incredibly personalised and thoughtful therapy experience.

Simon helped me unpick and process 10 years’ worth of confusing emotions that stemmed from issues during my childhood. Simon used different strategies/activities to help me explore and understand these issues.
Simon is an amazing therapist, he challenged me to confront difficult feelings, emotions and thoughts, and this work over time provided me with much-needed clarity. Working with Simon allowed me to grow and become so much more attuned to my feelings. Simon opened me up to a greater understanding of myself, he helped me to understand how my childhood experiences shaped the adult I am today. This greater understanding has had a positive impact on all aspects of life, particularly with relationships, confidence, self-worth and esteem.
Simon has a very calm and nurturing nature about him, and he is very easy to talk to. Before our sessions, I would always feel very anxious but due to the safe environment Simon provided me with, I was instantly put at ease.
Not only did Simon give me a safe space to talk, but he also gave me useful strategies I could use in day-to-day life to help me with my mental health. Even now nearly 5 years after my therapy, I still think back to conversations I had with Simon, which still provide me with reassurance and clarity. I will always be extremely grateful for Simon; he really did change my life!

Simon is very professional. Not once during our therapeutic relationship did I feel like he wasn’t interested or I couldn’t go to him with something. He was extremely patient and allowed the trust to build on its own rather than trying to force something like I had felt with others before.
One of his best qualities is his distinct ability to stay impartial. If I went to him with something that I felt was wrong or troubling about the world, he could help show me that there are always multiple sides to something. Simon helped me explore different approaches to dealing with problems, such as social anxiety, relationship building, and sometimes just life in general.
I firmly believe he has had one of the most positive impacts on who I am today. I would strongly recommend him as a therapist to anyone who was in a similar position as I was back then.
